Past Sins
Narrated Abu Huraira(r.a): The Prophet said:"... whoever fasts during Ramadan out of sincere faith and hoping to attain Allah's rewards, then all his past sins will be forgiven." (Sahih Al-Bukhari).

Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard Allah’s Apostle saying regarding Ramadan, “Whoever prayed at night in it (the month of Ramadan) out of sincere Faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven.”

Abu Hurairah reported that the Prophet (S) said : "The time between the five prayers, two consecutive Friday Prayers, and two cosecutive Ramadans are expiations for all that has happened during that period, provided that one has avoided the grave (major) sins." [Muslim]

Whosoever feeds another who fasted, in order to break the fast at sunset, for the feeder there shall be forgiveness of sins....

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, “Whoever established prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven; and whoever fasts in the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven.”

Past and Future Sins

Fasting the month of Ramadan with belief and seeking Allahs reward"Whoever fasts Ramadhan out of Iman and seeking Allahs reward then his past and future sins are forgiven." [Hasan, Ahmad]

Performing the night prayer in Ramadan with belief and seeking Allahs reward"Whoever stands (in prayer) in Ramadan out of Iman and seeking Allahs reward then his past and future sins are forgiven." [Saheeh an-Nasaai.]

Performing the night prayer on the Night of Qadar with belief and seeking Allahs reward"It (Laylatul-Qadr) is in Ramadan, and expect it in the last ten days; it is on an odd night: on the 21st, or the 23rd, or the 25th, or the 27th, or the 29th, or on the last night (of Ramadan). He who performs the night prayer on it out of belief and seeking Allah's reward his past and future sins are forgiven." [Ahmad]]

Ramadhan: The month Qur’an was brought down

in this month the Qur’an was brought down from the Lowhul Mahfoozh to the Samaa'ud Dunyaa, from where it was revealed bit by bit to Rasulullah (SAW) in a span of twenty three years.

Ramadan is the (month) in which the Quran was sent down, as a guide to mankind and a clear guidance and judgment (so that mankind will distinguish from right and wrong).." (Q 2:183)

Many of those who fast obtain nothing except hunger

Abu,Hurayra (Radhiallaahu Ánhu) relates that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) said: "Many of those who fast obtain nothing through such fasting except hunger, and many a one performs "Salaat" by' night but obtains nothing by it, except the discomfort of staying awake."

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, “Whoever does not give up forged speech and evil actions, Allah is not in need of his leaving his food and drink (i.e. Allah will not accept his fasting.)”

Care that should be taken during fasting:-

First, one should keep the eyes away from any place where one should not look; looking at any evil action or where evil is committed should be avoided.

Secondly, one should guard the tongue against lies, unnecessary conversation, backbiting, arguments, swearing, etc. In Bukhari, we read that fasting is a shield for the fasting person; for this reason, those who fast should avoid all useless talk, joking, argument, etc. Should anyone pick an argument, then say: "I am fasting." In other words, one should not start an argument and if someone else starts it, then too, one should avoid taking it up. When the person who starts an argument is not an understanding person, then at least one should remind oneself that: "I am fasting."

Thirdly, we should be careful that the ears are kept away from listening to anything undesirable (Makrooh). It is equally unlawful to listen to anything that should not be said. Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) has said, 'In backbiting, both the bickbiter and the one who listens to it are equal partners in sin.'

Fourthly, the rest of the body should be kept away from sin and unlawful things. Neither should the hands touch it, nor the feet walk towards it. With

Shataan" flows through the body of man like blood

Our Nabi (SallallaahuÁlayhi Wasallam) said: 'Shataan" flows through the body of man like blood; so, close up his path by remaining hunqry," i.e. when the body is hungry, the spirit receives strength.

Laylatul Qadr

Aisha related that the Prophet said: Look for Lailat al-Qadr on an odd-numbered night during the last ten nights of Ramadan (Bukhari).

Ubaadah bin Saamit (Radhiallaho anhu) reports that he asked the Prophet (Sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) about"Laylatul Qadr". He replied: "It is in Ramadan, during the last ten days, on the unevenly numbered nights, either the 21st 23rd, 25th, 27th, 29th or the last night of Ramadan. Whosoever stands in "Ibaadah" on this night, with sincere faith and with genuine hopes of gaining reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.

Among the signs of this night is that it is a serene, quiet, shining night, neither hot, nor cold but temperate as if a moon is shining clear, and no meteors are shot at the "Shayateen" on that night; it lasts until the break of the dawn. Another sign is that at morn, the Sun rises without any radiant beams of light, appearing rather like the moon in it's fullness. On that day, Allah prohibits the "Shayateen" from rising up with the Sun."

Aaisha (RadhiAllaho anha) reports: "I said: 'O Messenger of Allah (Sallallaahu alaihi wasallam), should I find myself the "Laylatul Qadr", what shall I pray. The Prophet (Sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) replied: say, Allaahumma innaka afuwwun tohibbu al'afwa fa'fu anna (O Allah, Thou art the One who grants pardon for sins. Thou lovest to
pardon, so O pardon me.)

Virtues of Ramadhan

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said, “When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of the heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are chained.”

Abu Saeed Khudri (Radhiallaahu anhu) relates that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) said: "During each day and night of Ramadan, Allah sets free a great number of souls from Hell. And for every Muslim, during each day and night, at least one prayer is certainly accepted."

Abu Ubaidah (Radhiallaahu Ánhu) reports: "I have heard RasuluLlah (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) saying:
"Fasting is a protective Shield for Man, as long as he does not tear up that protection'

Abu Huraira related that the Prophet said: Allah the Majestic and Exalted said: "Every deed of man will receive ten to 700 times reward, except Siyam (fasting), for it is for Me and I shall reward it (as I like). There are two occasions of joy for one who fasts: one when he breaks the fast and the other when he will meet his Lord" (Muslim).

My Ummah was given five things for Ramadan

Abu Hurayrah relates that Rasulullah (SAW) said, "My Ummah was given five things for Ramadan which was not given to anyone except them.

For them, the smell from the mouth of a fasting person is more sweeter to Allah than the fragrant smell of musk.

On their behalf the fish in the sea seek forgiveness for the fasting persons until they break their fast.

Allah prepares and decorates a special garden in Jannah everyday and then says (to it),"The time is near when faithful servants shall cast aside the great trials of the world and come to you".

In this month (for them) evil-minded Shaytaan is chained so as not to reach unto those evils to which they normally reach during other months besides Ramadan.

On the last night of Ramadan they are forgiven". The Sahaabah R.A. thereupon enquired, "0 Messenger of Allah, is that last night Laylatul Qadr? Rasulullah (SAW) replied, "No. But it is only right that a servant should be given his reward on having completed his service".

Prophet's Speech on last day of Syaaban

Salmaan (RA) reports, "On the last day of Sha-baan Rasulullah (SAW) addressed us and said, '0 people there comes over you now a great month, a most blessed month in which lies a night more greater in virtue than a thousand months. It is a month in which Allah has made Fasting compulsory by day. And has made sunnah the Taraaweeh by
night. Whosoever intends drawing near to Allah by performing any virtuous deed, for such person shall be the reward like the one who had performed a fardh in any other time. And whoever performs a fardh, shall be blessed with the reward of seventy faraa-idh in any other time.

This is indeed the month of patience, and the reward for true patience is Jannah (paradise). It is the month of sympathy with one's fellowmen. It is the month wherein a true believer's rizq is increased. Whosoever feeds another who fasted, in order to break the fast at sunset, for the feeder there shall be forgiveness of sins and emancipation from the fire of Jahannam (hell}, and for such feeder shall be the same reward as the one who Fasted (who he fed) without that persons reward being decreased in the least."

Thereupon we said, "0 messenger of Allah, not all of us possess the means whereby we can give a fasting person to break his fast." Rasulullah (SAW) replied, "Allah grants the same reward to the one who gives a fasting person to break the fast a mere date, or a drink of water, or a sip of milk."

"This is a month, the first of which brings Allah's mercy, the middle of which brings His forgiveness and the last of which brings emancipation from the fire of Jahan-nam."

"Whosoever lessens the burden of his servants (bonds-men) in this month; Allah will forgive him and free him from the fire of Jahannam."

"And in this month four things you should continue to perform in great number, two of which shall be to please your Lord, while the other two shall be those without which you cannot do. Those which shall be to please your Lord, are that you should in great quantity bear witness that there is no deity to worship except Allah (i.e.
recite the Kalimah Tayyibah Laa llaaha illallaah) and make much Istighfaar beg Allah's forgiveness with Astagirfirul-laah)." And as for those without which you cannot do, you should beg of Allah, entrance into paradise and ask refuge in Him from Jahannam."

"And whoever gave a person who fasted water to drink, Allah shall grant that giver to drink from my fountain, such a drink where after that person shall never again feel thirsty until he enters Jannah."

Be kind to your neighbour

Be chaste, be good and forgive

Renew your faith

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Renew your faith!” It was said, “O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), who do we renew our faith?”

He replied (Allah bless him and give him peace), “By saying la ilaha illa Allah (‘There is no god but God’) a lot” [Ahmad and Hakim; Haythami deemed its chain to be good (jayyid)]

Hajj with haram provision is not accepted

In a hadith traced back to the Prophet SAW: “When a person leaves for Hajj with good provision, places his foot in the stirrup (of his mount) and calls, ‘Labbaika Allahumma Labbaik (Here I am at Your service, O Allah! Here I am at Your service),’ he is called from the heavens, ‘Labbaika wa sa’daik (May your call be replied and happiness be your reward), your sustenance is halal, your journeying is halal, and your Hajj is accepted.’

And when he leaves with corrupt provisions and places his foot in the stirrup (of his mount) and says, ‘Labbaik,’ he is called from the heavens, ‘La Labbaika wa la sa’daik daik (May your call not be responded to and happiness not be your reward), your provision is haram, your sustenance is haram and your Hajj is not accepted.’” [Al-Mu'jam al-Awsat by At-Tabarani

Mosque

The Holy Prophet May Allah's peace and blessings be upon him stated in a Hadith that the condition of a believer (Mukmin) outside the Masjid is that of a fish out of water. A fish obviously has no desire to be out water, and if it is taken out will long to return, and will remain restless for as long as it is out of water. In the same Hadith, the sign of a Munafiq (hypocrite) has been described as a bird in a cage longing to be released from there as soon as possible. A Munafiq anxiously waits for the Salaah or speech to end so he can leave.

When asked about the best and worst places on the earth, the Prophet said: "I don't know. But the Almighty God said to me that the best place is mosque and the worst place is market".

Call for Hajj

"And proclaim the pilgrimage among men; they will come to thee on foot and (mounted) on every camel, lean on account of journeys through deep and distant mountain highways."(Surah Hajj - 27)

In a Hadith it is stated: "When Hazrat Ebrahim A.S. completed the erection of the Kaaba he said: 'O Allah, I have completed Your Holy House.' Then Allah replied: 'O Hazrat Ebrahim, announce among mankind that they shall come for pilgrimage' Hazrat Ebrahim A.S inquired: 'O Allah, how shall my voice reach them?' and Allah replied; 'You will announce My command and I shall cause it to reach them.' Thereupon Hazrat Ebrahim A.S. called out to the world announcing the pilgrimage and everything on earth in the heavens heard it.

According to another Hadith we learn that every person heard that voice and replied LABBAIK (I am present) the same cry uttered by the Hajjees whilst in ihraam. Whosoever Allah granted the good fortune to perform Hajj uttered the labbaik at that moment. The Hadith also states that every person, whether born already at that time or still in the worked of souls, to be born at a later time, who recited the Labbaik will surely be granted the opportunity to perform Hajj.

In another Hadith it is stated: whoever recited labbaik once shall perform Hajj once, and whoever recited it twice shall perform Hajj twice, and whatever number of times Labbaik was recited so many times they shall perform Hajj. How fortunate indeed were those souls who recited the Labbaik numerous times.

Hazrat Ali R.A. says Rasulullah' (Salallaho Alaihi Wassallam) said: "Whoever possesses the provisions (for the journey) and the means of transport to bring him to the Hose of Allah yet he does not perform Hajj, then there is no difference in him dying as a Jew or as a Christian."

Hazrat Ibn Abbas R.A. reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "One hundred and twenty (120) mercies descend upon the Ka'ba every day and night; sixty (60) for those performing tawaaf, forty (40) for those performing salaah and twenty (20) for those merely looking at Ka'ba".

Rasulullah (Sallallaho Alaihi Wassallam) once said: "Near the time of Qiyamah the rich ones from amongst my Ummah will perform Hajj for the sake of travel and holidays;

Solah is a key to Paradise

Hadbrat Abu Qataadah bin Rab'iyy (Radhiyallaho
anho) says, "He heard the Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe
wasallam) saying, Allah has said, "0, Muhammad! I
have ordained five times daily salaat for thy followers.
I have made a covenant with myself that whosoever is
regular in performing his salaat at its fixed hour, he
shall be admitted into the Paradise. Those of thy followers
who do not guard their salaat, are not included
in this covenant."

Wudhu washes away sins

"Abu Muslim narrates: I went to see Abu Umaamah
(Radhiyallaho anho) while he was in the musjid. I
asked him if he had really heard the Holy Prophet (Sallallaho
alaihe wasallam) saying, "When a person performs
wudhu with right performance and then says his
fardh salaat, Allah forgives him all the sins committed
that day by his feet in going towards evil, by his hands
in doing evil, by his ears in listening to evil, by his
eyes in looking at evil and by his heart in thinking of
evil.' He replied, 'By Allah, I have heard these words
from the Holy Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam)
again and again.

Solah washes away sins

"Hadhrat Abu Hurairah (Radhiyallaho anho) narrates
that once the Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam)
asked his companions, 'Do you believe that dirt can
remain on a person bathing five times a day in a brook
running in front of his door?' 'No', replied the companions,
'No dirt can remain on his body.' The Prophet
(Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) remarked: 'So, exactly
similar is the effect of salaat offered five times a day.
With the Grace of Allah. it washes away all the sins'."

"Hadhrat Abu Zar (Radhiyallaho anho) narrates that
once the Holy Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) came
out of his house. It was autumn and the leaves were falling
off the trees. He caught hold of a branch of a tree and its
leaves began to drop in large number. At this he remarked,
'0, Abu Zar! (Radhiyallaho anho) when a Muslim offers his
salaat to please Allah, his sins are shed awav from him just
as these leaves are falling off this tree."

Reciting Fatihah in Solah - not compulsory for follower (Hanafi Mazhab)

The Muqtadi (follower) should Listen and Remain Silent
Allah Ta’aala says: "When the Qur’an is being recited then listen attentively and remain silent so that mercy will be showered upon you".
Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud, Abu Hurairah, Abdullah Ibn Abbas and Abdullah Ibn Mughaffal (radhiallahu anhum) state that this verse of the Quran was revealed with regards to the Khutba (of Juma’ah) and with regards to Salaah. [Tafsir Ibn Kathir, vol. 1 pg. 281]

The dictates of this verse of the Holy Qur’an is that when the Imaam recites the Qur’an aloud, the followers should listen attentively, and when he recites softly, the followers should remain silent.

Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) is reported to have said: "When you begin your congregational prayers, straighten your rows. Thereafter when the Imaam says the takbeer (i.e. when he says Allahu Akbar aloud) you must also say the takbeer. However, when he begins the recital of the Qur’an, you must remain silent. And when he recites walad daul leen then you should say Aameen". By performing your salaah in this manner Allah Ta’ala will love you." [Muslim; ch. on tashahhud]
(A similar Hadith has been narrated by Abu Hurairah (radhiallahu anhu)-Imaam Muslim has attested to its authenticity; ibid).

The muqtadi Must Not Recite Surah Fatiha
It is reported from Hazrat Ataa Ibn Yasaar (radhiallahu anhu) that he questioned Hazrat Zaid Ibn Thaabit (radhiallahu anhu) concerning reciting Qira’at with the Imaam. Hazrat Zaid (radhiallahu anhu) answered: "There is no recitation of the Glorious Qur’an in any salaah behind the Imaam". [Sahih Muslim, chapter on Sujood-ut-Tilaawah, Hadith 577]

The Qiraat of the Imaam SUFFICES for the Muqtadi
Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Umar (radhiallahu anhu) used to repeatedly say: "Whoever performs salaah behind the Imaam, the Imaam’s qiraat suffices for him". (Sunan Baihaqi; chapter on not reciting qiraat behind the Imaam — Imaam Baihaqi (R.A.) has stated that this Hadith is Sahih.)

The Person Performing salaah Individually Must Recite Surah Fatiha, Not the Muqtadi
Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Umar (radhiallahu anhu) was asked: "Must the muqtadi recite behind the Imam?" He replied that the qiraat of the Imaam is sufficient for the muqtadi. But if he performs salaah individually, then he must recite qiraat. It was the practice of Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Umar (radhiallahu anhu) also that he would not recite surah fatiha behind the Imam. (In Aathaarus Sunan (Vol. 1 pg.89) this Hadith has been classified as sahih).
Hazrat Jaabir (radhiallahu anhu) narrates that the one who does not recite sura fatiha even in one rakaat, his salaah is not valid. However, if he is behind an Imam he must not recite surah fatiha. (This Hadith has been classified as hasan — Tirmizi - ch. on not reciting behind the Imaam). It is on the basis of this Hadith that Imaam Tirmidhi (R.A.) has narrated from Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal (R.A.) [who was the teacher of the ustaad of Imaam Bukhari (R.A.)] that the narration "Whoever does not recite surah fatiha his salaah is not complete" refers to one who performs his salaah alone. It does not include the muqtadi (Jami’ Tirmidhi, ibid). In the above Hadith it is very clearly mentioned that the muqtadi must not recite sura fatiha.

Straighten your safs for unity sake

A hadith narrated by Nu’maan bin Basheer (radhiallahu anhu). He says: "Once Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) faced us and said: "Straighten your rows". He repeated this thrice. He then said: "By Allah, you must most certainly straighten your rows or else Allah Ta’ala will disunite your hearts".

Salaat al-Tarawih TWENTY RAKAATS during khilaafat of Hazrat Umar (radhiallahu anhu)

Hazrat Yazeed Ibn Ruman (radhiallahu anhu) narrates that during the khilaafah of Hazrat Umar (radhiallahu anhu) the Sahaabah used to perform twenty rakaats tarawih and three rakaats witr salaah (with jamaat). [Muwwatta Imaam Maalik, chapter concerning standing in salaah during Ramadhaan]

During the khilafah of Abu Bakr (radhiallahu anhu) tarawih with jamaat was not in vogue. The practice of performing twenty rakaats with jamaat in every night of Ramadhaan and the completion of the entire Quraan began only during the khilaafat of Hazrat Umar (radhiallahu anhu). All the Sahaabah present had agreed upon this practice. From then onwards including the Khilafah of both Hazrat Uthmaan and Hazrat Ali (radhiallahu anhu) upto this day the Muslim Ummah (at large) has followed this practice.

Raising Both the Hands and Making Dua After Salah

It is narrated that Abdullah Ibn Zubair (radhiallahu anhu) saw a man raising his hands and making dua before completing his salah. When the person had completed his salaah, Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Zubair (radhiallahu anhu) went up to him and said: "Verily, Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) used to only raise his hands and make dua after completing his salaah" (the narrators of this Hadith are all trustworthy — Majmauz Zawaaid, vol. 1, pg. 169).

Why follow mazhab?

The question that arises here is that why then should one follow any of the four Imaams?

This can be answered by posing a counter-question:

- "Do you know all the various laws of Deen?
- Are you capable of extracting and deriving the laws pertaining to wudhu, salaah, zakaah, etc. directly from the Qur'an and Hadith?
- Do you know which Hadith has abrogated another?
- Do you have the ability to reconcile between the various Ahadith which apparently contradict each other?
- Do you know which verses of the Qur'an are general in their application and which verses are qualified by other texts? etc., etc."

If one does not have the knowledge of these aspects, then one definitely does not have the ability to derive the laws directly from the Qur'an and Hadith.

In that case the following aayah applies directly to oneself: "Ask those of knowledge if you do not know." (16:43 & 21:7) Hence when we do not have the enormous amount of knowledge and expertise that is necessary to derive the laws directly from the Qur'an and Hadith, we have opted to follow one of those great people who had attained that distinguished mastery in this field, among whom is Imaam Abu Hanifa (R.A.).

Imaam Abu Hanifa (R.A.) is a Taabi'i (one who has seen a Sahabi). He attained the knowledge of Hadith from approximately 4000 ustaads. His piety was such that for 40 years he performed fajr salaah with the wudhu of Isha salaah (i.e. he did not sleep the entire night) [Tareekhul Baghdad]. His knowledge, brilliance and righteousness was such that all the great scholars of his time attested to his mastery. Thus one can be well assured that such a person is absolutely capable of deriving the laws directly from the Qur'an and Hadith.

Following a mazhab

Some people says, we follow Quran and Hadith. We don't follow any particular mazhab.

Following a mazhab does not means following the particular Imam e.g. Imam Abu Hanifah or Imam As-Syafiee, BUT it means following the ruling, principles and methodology derived from Quran and Hadith by him (the Imam) and the group of ulama'(scholars) behind and among him during his time.

Majority of the scholars follows one of the 4 mazhab.

There are 6 major books of Sahih hadith, not only in Bukhari or Muslim.

Witr prayer

The Fuqahaa (jurists) differ in their opinions regarding Witr being Waajib or not.

According to Imaam Abu Hanifa (RA), Witr is Waajib based on many Ahaadith.

One of them being, Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, Whosoever does not perform Witr is not among us. (Mishkaat vol.1; Chapter of Witr)

"According to the Hanafi school it is abominable to pray bareheaded out of laziness. But praying bareheaded out of humbleness and a feeling of submission is permitted."

It is Makrooh(reprehensible) to perform salah with short sleeves and without a topi(head covering)

Imam Abu Hanifah

`Abu Hanifah', Nu'man ibn Thabit was born in the city of Kufa (modern day Iraq) in the year 80 A.H (689 A.D)

Imam Abu Hanifah acquired knowledge from over four thousand people.

When Imam Abu Hanifah derived a matter from the Qur'an and Hadith, he would not give the answer to the inquirer unless all of them [his students] confirmed it. One thousand of Abu Hanifah's disciples attended all his classes when he taught in the Mosque of Kufa City. Forty of them were mujtahids. When he would find an answer for a matter, he would suggest to his students who would study it together, and when they reached an agreement of it being consistent with the Qur'an and Hadith, and with the words of the Sahabah (ra), he would be delighted and say, "Al-hamdu li'llah wallahu Akbar," and all those who were present would repeat his words. Then he would tell them to write it down.

He performed the Fajr prayer with the ablution made for the Isha prayers for forty years (due to him praying the whole night through)

The principal occupation of Imam Abu Hanifa was business. He carried on a flourishing trade of textile goods. His success in commercial enterprises was largely due to his absolute honesty in business transactions. He was so much trusted by all that even non-Muslims deposited their wealth with him. He did not believe in excessive profits and never tolerated to earn money through illegal and questionable means.

Once he sent a few pieces of cotton goods to one Hafs Bin Abdur Rahman with a word that some of the pieces were defective of which the customer should be apprised. Hafs forgot to do so and disposed of all the pieces. This deeply shocked the Imam who by way of atonement gave away the entire sum amounting to 30 thousand dirhams in charity.
Once a woman brought to him a piece of Haz (costly cloth) for disposal. She demanded hundred dirhams as its price. She was wonder-struck with his honesty when he paid her five hundred dirhams for the piece.
The prices of commodities kept in his shop were fixed. Once in his absence, some of his pupils unknowingly sold certain articles at relatively higher prices. When he learned about it on return, he resented it very much, saying they had cheated the customer. Meanwhile the customer who was an inhabitant of Medina, had left Kufa. It is stated that the Imam himself undertook a journey to Medina and paid him the balance.

Turban

Muslims wore the turban with the topee (head covering) while the Mushriks wore the turban without the topee underneath.

The only time the prophet wore black turban:-
Jaabir ibn Abdullah [radhiallaahu anhu] narrates that Nabi [sallallaahu alayhi wasallam] entered on the day of Fath-Makkah whilst wearing a black Turban. (Muslim, Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, Nasaaie, ibn Majah)

Allah does not accept the Salaah of one who allows his pants over his ankles

Satan - narrow his passage by hunger

"Satan runs in the veins of the children of Adam;
narrow his passage by hunger."

The Prophet, upon whom be peace, said: 'Fasting is a shield,'
and,
Verily, Satan rushes through the body like the flowing of the blood
[in the body].
You should constrict his rushing by hunger and fasting.'

Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, ‘I am sent to destroy musical instruments’.

Almighty Allah Taãla says in the Noble Qurãn: 'And there are some people who purchase idle talk. for them is a severe punishment'. Ibn Masóod (Radhiyallaahu Ánhu) says that this verse was revealed regarding singing.

Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) said, 'People from my Ummat will drink wine and give it other names and singing girls and musical instruments will be played before them. Allah will cause the earth to swallow them, and disfigure their faces into apes and pigs.'

Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) mentioned, 'When singing girls and musical instruments becomes common, wait for red winds, earthquakes, the earth swallowing people, disfiguring and many more punishments.' (Mishkãt 470)

The Word "Solah" in the Quran - Al-Maeda

(1) O ye who believe! when ye prepare for prayer, wash your faces, and your hands (and arms) to the elbows; Rub your heads (with water); and (wash) your feet to the ankles. If ye are in a state of ceremonial impurity, bathe your whole body. But if ye are ill, or on a journey, or one of you cometh from offices of nature, or ye have been in contact with women, and ye find no water, then take for yourselves clean sand or earth, and rub therewith your faces and hands, Allah doth not wish to place you in a difficulty, but to make you clean, and to complete his favour to you, that ye may be grateful.
( سورة المائدة , Al-Maeda, Chapter #5, Verse #6)

(2) Allah did aforetime take a covenant from the Children of Israel, and we appointed twelve captains among them. And Allah said: "I am with you: if ye (but) establish regular prayers, practise regular charity, believe in my apostles, honour and assist them, and loan to Allah a beautiful loan, verily I will wipe out from you your evils, and admit you to gardens with rivers flowing beneath; but if any of you, after this, resisteth faith, he hath truly wandered from the path or rectitude."
( سورة المائدة , Al-Maeda, Chapter #5, Verse #12)

(3) Your (real) friends are (no less than) Allah, His Messenger, and the (fellowship of) believers,- those who establish regular prayers and regular charity, and they bow down humbly (in worship).

(4) When ye proclaim your call to prayer they take it (but) as mockery and sport; that is because they are a people without understanding.

The Word "Solah" in the Quran - An-Nisaa

(1) O ye who believe! Approach not prayers with a mind befogged, until ye can understand all that ye say,- nor in a state of ceremonial impurity (Except when travelling on the road), until after washing your whole body. If ye are ill, or on a journey, or one of you cometh from offices of nature, or ye have been in contact with women, and ye find no water, then take for yourselves clean sand or earth, and rub therewith your faces and hands. For Allah doth blot out sins and forgive again and again.
( سورة النساء , An-Nisa, Chapter #4, Verse #43)

(2) Hast thou not turned Thy vision to those who were told to hold back their hands (from fight) but establish regular prayers and spend in regular charity? When (at length) the order for fighting was issued to them, behold! a section of them feared men as - or even more than - they should have feared Allah. They said: "Our Lord! Why hast Thou ordered us to fight? Wouldst Thou not Grant us respite to our (natural) term, near (enough)?" Say: "Short is the enjoyment of this world: the Hereafter is the best for those who do right: Never will ye be dealt with unjustly in the very least!

(3) When thou (O Messenger. art with them, and standest to lead them in prayer, Let one party of them stand up (in prayer) with thee, Taking their arms with them: When they finish their prostrations, let them Take their position in the rear. And let the other party come up which hath not yet prayed - and let them pray with thee, Taking all precaution, and bearing arms: the Unbelievers wish, if ye were negligent of your arms and your baggage, to assault you in a single rush. But there is no blame on you if ye put away your arms because of the inconvenience of rain or because ye are ill; but take (every) precaution for yourselves. For the Unbelievers Allah hath prepared a humiliating punishment.

(4) When ye pass (Congregational) prayers, celebrate Allah.s praises, standing, sitting down, or lying down on your sides; but when ye are free from danger, set up Regular prayers: For such prayers are enjoined on believers at stated times.

(5) The Hypocrites - they think they are over-reaching Allah, but He will over- reach them: When they stand up to prayer, they stand without earnestness, to be seen of men, but little do they hold Allah in remembrance;

(1) Who believe in the Unseen, are steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them;

(2) And be steadfast in prayer; practise regular charity; and bow down your heads with those who bow down (in worship).
( سورة البقرة , Al-Baqara, Chapter #2, Verse #43)

(3) Nay, seek (Allah's) help with patient perseverance and prayer: It is indeed hard, except to those who bring a lowly spirit,-

(4) And remember We took a covenant from the Children of Israel (to this effect): Worship none but Allah. treat with kindness your parents and kindred, and orphans and those in need; speak fair to the people; be steadfast in prayer; and practise regular charity. Then did ye turn back, except a few among you, and ye backslide (even now).

(5) And be steadfast in prayer and regular in charity: And whatever good ye send forth for your souls before you, ye shall find it with Allah. for Allah sees Well all that ye do.

(6) O ye who believe! seek help with patient perseverance and prayer; for Allah is with those who patiently persevere.

(7) Guard strictly your (habit of) prayers, especially the Middle prayer; and stand before Allah in a devout (frame of mind).
